I grew up in Las Vegas and lived there for most of my life. I graduated from Cimarron-Memorial High School where I was extremely active playing the trombone in marching band, concert band and jazz band as well as in all-state bands and orchestras. I loved having the opportunity to play with several professional musicians.
After brief stints at several different colleges, I graduated from UNLV with a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Mathematics. Upon graduating I realized that, since I didn’t want to work for the government or write software for slot-machines, I had to leave Vegas. Someday, after I’ve made my millions, I’d love to move back.
I really enjoy writing software and am constantly developing little apps that serve no purpose other than to help me learn something new. I enjoy camping and hiking and working with youth; I’ve been volunteering with the Boy Scouts ever since I became too old to be one myself! I have to be really careful about when I start a new book because I read compulsively (mainly Fantasy and Science Fiction). And, despite having little skill and even less time, I love snowboarding. As far as I’m concerned, snowboarding is the only thing that makes snow tolerable.
